This weekend, players participating in the Battlefield 3 multiplayer will earn double experience to boost their rank faster.
The Double XP Weekend, the first for Battlefield 3, begins Saturday, May 12 at 12:01 a.m. PST and continues through Sunday, May 13 at 11:59 p.m. PST.
All soldiers in Battlefield 3 will earn double XP regardless of maps and modes played. At the conclusion of each match, players total points for the round will be reflected in the end of round screen and classified as "Additional Points". Double XP will be accrued across all ranked servers and matches.
Since its launch on October 25, Battlefield 3 has become the fastest selling title in EA's history, selling more than 15 million units. If you have just picked up the game, this is a great chance to catch up to those who have already ranked up through multiplayer - and just in time for the launch of Battlefield 3: Close Quarters in June!
