Rockstar has announced the second episode of a two-part video series focused on the multiplayer portion of Max Payne 3 will be released tomorrow. On Thursday at noon Eastern, Rockstar will take a deeper look at Max Payne 3's Bullet Time online, persistent Multiplayer Crews, powerful Burst abilities, and more.
The first episode was released back in March and talked mostly about the challenges faced in the development of a Max Payne 3 multiplayer mode. It also gave fans a look at two modes in Max Payne 3's multiplayer: Gang Wars and Payne Killer.
"Gang Wars" allows up to 16 players to compete in a team-based sequence of story-based scenarios and inclusive matches. Each segment continues the events of the last for a total of five rounds. Objectives change based on the outcome of earlier scenarios.
"Payne Killer" allows two players to fill in as Max and his buddy Raul Passos as they face off against six other players. Sounds fierce. Payne starts out with his iconic dual-wield uzis while Passos is equipped with a high-powered RPD assault rifle. The two main characters also have more health than the enemy players to balance out the sides.
Tune in tomorrow for more Max Payne 3 multiplayer goodness.
Meanwhile, Rockstar has also detailed their downloadable content plans for the game's future all the way up until Fall 2012. Rockstar detailed the Local Justice Map Pack, the first of a series of planned DLC packs, which will release in June.
